Vacation Day 3 {Beach Bums}

An entire day devoted solely to the beach. Sadly Hubby had to attend conference sessions during the day, but the kiddies, YiaYia, Bopi & I found plenty of things to pass the time; along with a healthy dose of a whole lot of nothing.

Belle and the Grandparents did quite a number building a sand castle while Peanut & I were away walking the beach. I couldn't help myself, I had to add a seashell monogram to the castle.

Peanut & Belle each wrote and buried notes for future vacationers to discover. The notes included the kiddies' names, ages and sweet sentiments for lots of vacation fun.

After lunch, Bopi & I drew up a map and sent the little ones on their very own treasure hunt. They were beyond thrilled at the prospect of discovering something gold (goldfish crackers), but not terribly skilled at reading a map. Nevertheless, their adventure was a nice way to break up the mid afternoon.

We spent the rest of the day lounging on the beach and gathering seashells for each kiddie's commemorative picture frames. Hubby rejoined us for awhile before he & I headed out to another business dinner. Pretty much a picture perfect day. Tomorrow our beach vacay ends, but Disney is just around the corner.
