Easter Festivities {2013}

Christ has Risen! Surprisingly we weren't awoken at the crack of dawn by the little ones' ready for the egg hunt. When the time did come, they had plenty of fun running around searching out eggs and each of their baskets.

After every last egg was found, we sat down for a special treat: donuts from our favorite bakery. The kiddies enjoyed the traditional "cracking" of easter eggs. Then it was time to get dressed and ready for brunch.

YiaYia, Bopi & Theo N joined us later for a brunch featuring ham, eggs, kourambiethes (Greek powdered sugar cookies), traditional Greek sweet bread & Champagne. The kiddies had another egg hunt compliments of the grandparents & they even had a chance to reverse the rolls and hide eggs for Hubby & me.

Belle made these sweet place cards for every guest.

Belle's egg was the champion, but met its demise by falling off the table during brunch.
Around three o'clock I packed up this bakery cake (doctored up with edible grass nest and gumballs), and headed over to Hubby's sister's house for a full blown feast and our 3rd egg hunt of the day. I believe there is more candy in the house now than after halloween!

It wouldn't be Easter without a lamb.

Sweet baby G slept through most of his first Easter.

When we returned home we snapped a quick picture of our tired, stuffed & happy crew. Christos Anesti!
